    Configure New Veeam Proxy Servers

    1.  Add the server as a proxy in Veeam.
      1. Click on backup Infrastructure
      2. Right-click on Backup Proxies and click Add Proxy
      3. Select VMware backup proxy
      4. Select add new Microsoft Windows
      5. Enter IP address of proxy server then Next
      6. Select
      7. Review, then click Apply
      8. When process is complete, click Next
      9. Click Finish
      10. In transport mode, click Choose, then Direct storage access, then Next, Next, Apply
      11. When process is complete, click Next, then Finish
    2. Configure NIC on server with the iSCSI IP.
    3. Configure the discovery addresses of the storage in iSCSI software on the server.
      1. Click on windows icon
      2. Select Windows Administrative tools
      3. Double-click iSCSI Initiator 
      4. Click the discovery tab
      5. Click on the discovery portal button
      6. Enter the IP address of the storage device
      7. Finish
    4. In Veeam under storage Infrastructure, configure which proxies can access the storage.
      1. Select Pure Storage.
      2. Select the correct storage array, then right-click, and select edit, then Next.
      3. Then next again
      4. For Backup proxies to use, click Choose, then select the proxy server you just added.
      5. Apply, then Finish
    5. Edit the backup jobs to use the new proxy servers
      - use only the first two proxies as the third proxy is reserved for replication jobs
      - 10.170.1.47 & 10.170.1.48
    6. Edit the replication jobs to use the new proxy servers
      - there is a source and destination proxy for each replication job
