Do I need to get a second COVID-19 test if I tested negative, but developed symptoms later?

Yes. A negative test result only means at the time of testing you did not have COVID-19, or your test could have been taken too early in your infection. Those who developed symptoms while in quarantine should get another test to determine if they are infected with COVID-19. Those with symptoms and a negative home test should take precautions while seeking out a lab generated test. There is no way to know if symptoms are COVID-19 related until an individual is tested by a lab.
